Proposed Ordinance Amendments
The City of Frankfort Planning Commission will be hosting a virtual public hearing on March 9, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. regarding proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance and zoning district map. The City of Frankfort is proposing to amend Section 8201 Definitions by amending the definition of Ground Floor and Building and adding the definition of Workforce Housing. It is proposed to amend Section 8301.02 Zoning District Map for Tax Parcel Id# 10-51-030-004-00 located on the south west corner of Main Street and M 22 (Lake Street). This parcel will be rezoned from Civic to Main Street East. The City of Frankfort is also proposing to amend the zoning map from Waterfront to Civic for Tax Parcel Id#10-51-030-005-00) located on the north west corner of Water Street and M 22 (Lake Street). In addition to the definitions and zoning map amendments, the City of Frankfort is proposing to amend Section 8306 e: Main Street District to allow a maximum 20’ front yard setback in lieu of the current 2’ maximum front yard. Figure 5: Main Street East District will also be amended to provide apartment building design options and remove information that contradicts the standards in Section 8306.
